Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi international airport, our representative will greet you. After the warm welcome transfer to the hotel and relax.
Day 2
Delhi - Bagdogra Airport- Darjeeling
Bagdogra - Darjeeling (70 km - 03 hr)Today, we will fly to Bagdogra & drive to Darjeeling, Queen of India's hill stations. Its setting is one of incomparable beauty. A Victorian town of old world charm 'discovered' by the British. It is surrounded by fragrant tea gardens which seem to flow over the layered slopes like emerald swells on a rough sea.
Day 3
Darjeeling
Today morning we visit Tiger Hill, famous for its magnificent view of Kanchenjunga, Mt. Everest & other eastern Himalayan peaks especially at the time of sunrise. On our way back we first visit Ghoom, as the name suggests it is gloomy & clammy with perpetual fog. A Tibetan village, one can hear the foghorn-like sounds of Buddhist monks blowing their giant Gyeling pipes from the rooftops of the nearby Yiga-Choling ' Yellow Hat' Buddhist Temple. Later we visit the two Buddhist monasteries Chholing & Darli.
After some rest we take a ride of toy train of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR), now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also visit the Mountaineering Institute, created by the late Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa who conquered Mt Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary. A display of equipment used on the climb is one of the highlights.. Next we visit the Tibet Handicraft Centre & the beautiful Tea gardens.
Day 4
Darjeeling - Gangtok (95 km- 03 hr)
Today we drive to Gangtok, a fairytale capital in the clouds, balances precariously on Steep Mountain slopes, Surrounded by lush rice terraces, swifts flowing rivers & distant snow views. It is situated in the lower Himalayas & was a small hamlet until the construction of the Enchey Monastery in 1840 made it a pilgrimage center. It became a major stopover between Tibet & British India at the end of the 19th century. It is also a centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture & learning with numerous monasteries & religious educational centres.
Half Day Tour
Later we take a tour of Gangtok, visiting Research Institute of Tibetology, organization dedicated to furthering Tibetan studies, Buddhist philosophy & religion. It attracts scholars from all over the world. It houses a rare collection of 30,000 books, Tantric documents, rare manuscripts written in gold on the bark of a poisonous tree, antique, thanks & 200 icons, all prized objects of art for the Buddhism.
Day 5
Gangtok
After breakfast, in the morning, start for an excursion to Tsongo Lake - situated at a height of 12400 Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms in 3 Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around.
Day 6
Gangtok - Siliguri (124 km- 04 hr)
Today we visit Do Drul Chorten, it was built to commemorate the victory of good over evil. The Jhang Club Chorten was built to perpetuate the memory of a great spiritualist of today. Thrul-Shik Rinpoche an ardent devotee of Buddha and one of his best interpreters died in 1962, the stupa immortalizes Rinpoche in the land of his birth.
Afternoon drive to Siliguri.
Day 7
Siliguri - Paro - Thimphu (IXB/PHB KB 131 0900/1010)
Paro - Thimphu (60 km 1.30 hrs)
Morning we fly to Paro. After visa & Customs formalities drive to Thimphu. Afternoon Thimphu city sightseeing including Takin Zoo and Tango Monastry.
Day 8
Thimphu
Full day sightseeing of Thimphu Visit Memorial Chorten, Tashi Chho Dzong, National Library, Painting School, Handicrafts Emporium, and Thimphu viewpoint .
Day 9
Thimphu - Punakha (74 kms 2Hrs.)
Morning drive to Punakha across Dochula Pass (3,050m) that heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. Until 1955, Punakha served as the capital of Bhutan and still it holds the winter seat of Chief Abbot, Punakha Dzong
Day 10
Punakha - Paro (115 kms 3Hrs.)
After breakfast drive to Paro, the beautiful valley, encapsulates within itself a rich culture, scenic beauty and hundred of myths and legends. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong which has a long and fascinating history.
Day 11
Paro
Morning drive to Durkgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese warriors repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Also visit here a traditional farm house which offers good insight into the lifestyle of local people. Then take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest), situated 900 m above Paro valley floor. Evening visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom.
Day 12
Paro - Delhi (PHB/DEL KB 204 1130/1430)
After breakfast drive to Paro airport for the Delhi flight. Afternoon half day sightseeing of Delhi India gate and Qutab Minar
Day 13
Delhi - Srinagar by Flight
Morning flight to Srinagar. Upon arrival drive to the hotel. After the check- in and Lunch, proceed for sightseeing in Srinagar. Visit the world-famous Mughal Gardens - Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), and Chasme Shahi Garden.
Day 14
Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar ( 100 Kms)
Morning, we will begin our countryside tour towards Gulmarg. We will drive past colorful villages and rice fields. The 08 minutes of ropeway ride on Gulmarg Gondola will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Apharwat Peak. From here, we can click lots of pictures of snow mountain. After spending time here, we return to Srinagar.
Day 15
Srinagar - Delhi Departure
Morning sightseeing of Srinagar, afternoon fly back to Delhi for onwards journey.

Quotes are valid for dates mentioned in each of the proposals based on the dates mentioned in our proposal. Domestic Flights schedules/fares are subject to change and will be charged as applicable at the time of booking of the tour. Accommodation will be provided in the hotels mentioned or alternate hotels in the similar category
50% of the Tour cost is to be paid by the guest in advance upon receiving confirmation status of the package. However, if any Air ticket Domestic or International is to be booked and issued by LPI Travels 100% Advance for the air ticket is required to be paid by the guest at the time of booking.
We strongly recommend speaking to a company representative at least once before making the online advance payment (during business days)
After every payment is received, an automatic payment confirmation mail will be sent.
Prices mentioned per person are on a twin-sharing basis (2 persons sharing one room).
No more than 3 adults are allowed in one room.
The third occupant of the room shall be provided a mattress/rollaway or an extra bed.
Our quotations are not budgeted for any increase in taxes, the introduction of new taxes, an increase in entrance fees to any monuments mentioned in the itinerary, or an increase in domestic airfares. Hence our quotations are subject to change and we would have to ask you to absorb the cost. You will be informed as soon as any Indian Govt. Agency or Airlines introduce the above changes.
All passengers must be covered by suitable International Travel/ Health insurance prior to departure from the country of origin. Our package does not include any Insurance facility.
All arrangements for transportation, accommodation, transfers, and sightseeing will be made by Leisure & Pleasure International Pvt. Ltd. as agent for the passenger upon the express condition that we shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or irregularity which may be caused by any company or person employed in the operation of the tour.
LPI Travels reserves the right to adjust the itinerary and timings in the best interests of the guest. LPI Travels will do its best to adhere to the Timing Schedule provided as far as possible. A visa is required to visit India.
CANCELLATION FEES:
More than 60 days before tour Nil.
Between 59-40 days before the tour 25% of the tour cost.
Between 39-20 days before the tour 50% of the tour cost.
Less than 20 days & No show 100% retention charges will apply.
All payments to be transferred directly to our Company bank account the details are:
50% cost to be remitted at the time of conformation of the booking. Full tour prior to arrival of the clients into India.
If your clients avail of any additional services in India, then payment must be made to our office in India, before they depart India. No credit will be provided.
Our office in India will process all refunds, as these have to be channelled through The Reserve Bank of India. The process is a lengthy one and takes approximately ten to twelve weeks.
