Ayurveda Tour in Kerala
Widely practiced as the oldest form of health care, Ayurveda is an intricate medical system, that originated in India thousands of years ago. It finds its mention in the ancient Hindu sculptures, called Vedas. Written over 5,000 years ago, Rig Veda includes a series of prescriptions that can aid humans overcome various diseases.

Abhyanga
It can be simply defined as Ayurvedic Warm Oil Massage. Medicated oils are properly massaged into your body with specialized strokes and marma pressure points. It is a deeply relaxing and nourishing kind of massage which rejuvenates all the tissues of your body.
Shirodhara
The term 'Shirodhara' can be simplified as Ayurvedic Bliss Therapy. In this therapy, warm oil is poured in a slow stream on your forehead that pacifies the subtle aspects of doshas. This treatment nourishes the nervous system, enhances mental clarity, and promotes relaxation.
Bashpa Swedana
This is Full Body Herbal Steam Therapy, which includes steaming the entire body excluding the head. A sweatbox is used in this method. Used after Abhyagna or other oil massages, it aims at detoxifying your body and providing healing effects.
Nadi Swedana
It is a Localized Steam Therapy for Pain Relief. In this method, a localized application of steam is done with herbal medicated oils. Focusing on specific areas of the body like joints or muscles, improves flexibility and reduces pain. It is helpful in diseases with chronic pain.
Marma Chikitsa
It is a kind of Ayurvedic Acupressure or Energy Point Therapy. Marma points are the bridge between the physical body and its subtle energy pathways, known as nadis. It is aimed at stimulating specific organs or systems. With an emphasis on key marma points, it helps in releasing blocked energy and promotes flexibility.
Shila Abhyanga
It can be simplified as Ayurvedic Hot Stone Massage. The therapy is used to enhance healing and longevity. The session involves a deep relaxing massage with the use of Ayurvedic herbal oils and with the application of water-heated basalt stones of different sizes. The benefits include stimulating the circulatory system, releasing toxins, and relieving pain.
Shiro Abhyanga with Nasya
Known as Ayurvedic Head Massage & Nasal Therapy, it is a blend of Ayurvedic head massage with nasal administration of herbal oil. It stimulates vital organs and systems by clearing the energy pathways in your head. Highly beneficial for headaches, allergies, neck, ear, and throat problems.
Nabhi Basti or Chakra Basti
You can understand it simply as Navel Region Balance and Emotional Release. Helpful in balancing the Nabhi marma, it increases the digestion power and helps in releasing deeply seated emotions. It is performed by filling a dam made out of dough and placing it over the navel area with lukewarm medicated oil or ghee.
Marma Massage
It is a popular Invigorating Ayurvedic Massage that stimulates vital marma points and energizes organs and tissues. As a result, it enhances overall blood circulation. It helps relieve tension, removing energy blocks and energizing you.
Netra Basti
It is simply an Eye Rejuvenation Therapy. Performed by filling a dam (made out of dough), which is placed around the eyes with a lukewarm medicated oil or ghee, it helps in relieving eye strain and improves vision. It also pacifies the doshas in the head area and treats various eye diseases.
Pinda Sweda or Swedana
This is an Ayurvedic Therapy to Restore Strength and Vigor. It includes scrubbing warm blouses (prepared with herbs and grains) over your full body using specific strokes. It enhances blood circulation and muscle tone. Done in a series, it is used for several neurological disorders and promotes vitality and longevity.
Kati Basti
This is called as the Lumbo-Sacral Rejuvenation Therapy. Localized treatment for relieving the lower back, it also pacifies the sites of Vata and relieves pain, soreness, and tension in that area. Made out of dough, a dam is placed on the lumbosacral area with lukewarm medicated oil.
Hrud or Uro Basti
This therapy is better known as Ayurvedic Heart Support Therapy. Focusing on the area over the heart helps nourish and strengthen heart functions. A dam is placed over the heart and filled with lukewarm medicated oil or ghee to regulate the heart's functioning.
Colour Therapy
The therapeutic attributes of color are used in this Ayurvedic Vibrational Healing method. Based on clinical research that says certain glandular functions respond to specified colors, it is used to treat various ailments. The therapy involves exposing different parts of your body to colored lights in a dark room.
Prana Therapy
The therapy aims at Traditional Ayurvedic Energy Work. It utilizes vital energy to remove blockages within one's subtle nerve pathways, tissues, organs, and channels. The therapy promotes the healing of specific areas as well as the overall well-being of humans.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive at Kochi
Welcome to India. Our tour manager will receive you at Airport and will escort you to your hotel in an AC car. Take an exploratory tour of Kochi and visit various historical monuments which are considered to be architectural marvels, like the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the Santa Cruz Cathedral, the Bolgatty Palace, and Willingdon Island. Also, watch the enticing traditional Kathakali Dance. In the evenings take a stroll on Cochin Beach and view the extremely beautiful sight of the sunset. Also, see the famous Chinese fishing Nets silhouetted against a backdrop of the sunset. They make for a spectacular sight
Day 2-7
Kochi-Keraleeyam
Travel from Kochi to Keralayeem Ayurvedic Resort which is a comfortable and scenic 2 hours drive from Cochin. While many hotels/ resorts in India offer Ayurveda as an “extra”, here Ayurveda is not a value addition but the main focus. It offers a host of traditional Ayurveda therapies. For leisure, backwaters and beaches are located close by (Not more than 10 km away from the resort). Spend time at the resort and undergo traditional Ayurveda therapies. The oils and herbs used are organic and give a stimulating experience to tourists
Day 8
Keraleeyam - Luxury Houseboat
After spending some time in Keralayeem enjoy a backwater cruise and spend some time with nature, which really completes the actual therapy. Spending time with nature enhances the impact of therapy. Travel to Kumarakom boat jetty and get transferred to a luxury houseboat. Cruise along the romantic backwaters amidst natural beauty and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Should you wish, get an insight into the daily lives of the local people. Spend the night in the houseboat -- Nightcap in a houseboat is a memorable experience!
Day 9
Houseboat - Kochi Airport
Return to Kochi. You may also opt for shopping/ spending time at a restaurant and then arrive at the International Airport. Tour Ends with Sweet Memories.

Exclusions
- Air Fare / Train fare.
- Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, and porterage.
- Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.
- Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
- Any increase in taxes or fuel prices leads to an increase in the cost of surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect before departure.
- Travel Insurance.
- Anything which is not included in the inclusion.
Quotes are valid for dates mentioned in each of the proposals based on the dates mentioned in our proposal. Domestic Flights schedules/fares are subject to change and will be charged as applicable at the time of booking of the tour. Accommodation will be provided in the hotels mentioned or alternate hotels in the similar category
50% of the Tour cost is to be paid by the guest in advance upon receiving confirmation status of the package. However, if any Air ticket Domestic or International is to be booked and issued by LPI Travels 100% Advance for the air ticket is required to be paid by the guest at the time of booking.
We strongly recommend speaking to a company representative at least once before making the online advance payment (during business days)
After every payment is received, an automatic payment confirmation mail will be sent.
Prices mentioned per person are on a twin-sharing basis (2 persons sharing one room).
No more than 3 adults are allowed in one room.
The third occupant of the room shall be provided a mattress/rollaway or an extra bed.
Our quotations are not budgeted for any increase in taxes, the introduction of new taxes, an increase in entrance fees to any monuments mentioned in the itinerary, or an increase in domestic airfares. Hence our quotations are subject to change and we would have to ask you to absorb the cost. You will be informed as soon as any Indian Govt. Agency or Airlines introduce the above changes.
All passengers must be covered by suitable International Travel/ Health insurance prior to departure from the country of origin. Our package does not include any Insurance facility.
All arrangements for transportation, accommodation, transfers, and sightseeing will be made by Leisure & Pleasure International Pvt. Ltd. as agent for the passenger upon the express condition that we shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or irregularity which may be caused by any company or person employed in the operation of the tour.
LPI Travels reserves the right to adjust the itinerary and timings in the best interests of the guest. LPI Travels will do its best to adhere to the Timing Schedule provided as far as possible. A visa is required to visit India.
CANCELLATION FEES:
More than 60 days before tour Nil.
Between 59-40 days before the tour 25% of the tour cost.
Between 39-20 days before the tour 50% of the tour cost.
Less than 20 days & No show 100% retention charges will apply.
All payments to be transferred directly to our Company bank account the details are:
50% cost to be remitted at the time of conformation of the booking. Full tour prior to arrival of the clients into India.
If your clients avail of any additional services in India, then payment must be made to our office in India, before they depart India. No credit will be provided.
Our office in India will process all refunds, as these have to be channelled through The Reserve Bank of India. The process is a lengthy one and takes approximately ten to twelve weeks.

The monsoon season (June to September) is considered the ideal time for Ayurveda therapy. In the rainy season, the pores in the body open which allow the Ayurvedic herbs used in therapies to absorb well.
