Uttarakhand, earlier was know as Uttaranchal, is a northern India state. Uttarakhand has the origin of some of the most sacred rivers of India like Ganga and Yamuna.
The lifeline of India is its holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and many more. These rivers are a source of adventure. The youth enjoy rafting, trekking along the mountains and kayaking etc. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Joshimath, are important religious sites for the devotees of Lord Shiva. If you are going with family or friends then Dehradun, Mussoorie, Nainital, etc are perfect for you. Rishikesh is best for peace seekers. If you want to see nature, wildlife and click the scenes then places in Jim Corbett National Park, Almora city, Kausani. Mount Abott are ideal. Most important, the ‘Char Dham’ in Hindu mythology are all in Uttarakhand. In recent years, Landsdowne and Sattal has become quiet popular in tourists.
