Nahan is a town in Himachal Pradesh and is the headquarters of the Sirmaur District It was the capital of the former Sirmur princely state. Raja Karam Prakash founded the city in 1621. Furthermore Nahan is situated on a hill top in the Shiwalik Hills, overlooking green hills.

As a tourist, the best part of Nahan is the peace. The quiet walkways will attract you. And the buildings will remind you of the city’s past. The hub of Nahan’s activities is Chaugan. Markanda (8 km from Nahan), Jamta, and Renuka Ji Lake (35 km) are some other places of siteseeing. In the heart of Nahan town is Rani Tal, with a huge pond and a temple.
