But, if you are learning to drive or a newbie, then the Zojila Pass is not made for you because it links Ladakh and the rest of the country in a major way. Whether you want to witness the first snowfall of your life or get enchanted by the landscapes, our Srinagar to Ladakh via Zojila with Turtuk travel itinerary is just made for you! Now, you must be wondering about Turtuk, it lies under those 4 Balti villages in the Indian administration. It is believed that before 1971, the region was occupied by Pakistan. Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive Srinagar
Today is the first day for your Kashmir to Ladakh driving Adventure tour. Arrive Srinagar today by flight from Delhi or any other city in India. Meeting with LPI Travels representative and comfortable private transfer to your hotel in Srinagar. A visit to Dal Lake of Srinagar can be organised in the evening. Night stay will be in the hotel.

Day 2
Srinagar to Kargil Drive via Sonamarg
For a very exciting trip, we will be moving to Srinagar and then proceed to drive to Kargil through Sonamarg, which is a pasture land of the Gold Department. Also, taking a road trip to Sonamarg would be a great idea because you can witness the famous Kashmir’s Sindh Valley. The valley is known to be one of the largest in Kashmir. After that, we will continue our drive to Kargil and pass through the picturesque village of Sonamarg. Later, we will cover the distance to Zojila Pass and continue driving towards Drass, which is the second coldest place in the world. After that, we will move towards Kargil, which will take more than two hours. In Kargil, we will be spending our night at the hotel.

Day 3
Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru
After having an early morning meal, we will be leaving Kargil to reach Mulbekh and Lamayuru Monastery where you can witness the breathtaking moon-like landscape that passes through Namkila and Fatula. On our way, we will be visiting another monastery named Alchi, which is the only Gompa in the Ladakh region. Later, we will head towards the Indus and Zanskar Valley to witness the junction of many rivers. After that, we will have a quick stop at the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Magnetic Hill. We will be ending the day by visiting the Leh Hall of Fame, which is generally a museum made in honour of Kargil war heroes and having dinner which will be followed by a night stay at the hotel.

Day 4
Tour to Thiksey Monastery, Shanti Stupa and Leh Market
Post a wholesome breakfast, we will continue with our journey and make a visit to the Thiksey Monastery which is located on a foothill with splendour views of the Indus Valley. The monastery of Thiksey is especially known for its giant statue of Lord Buddha and also for its assembly hall which shelters thousands of prayer books. After that, we will drive back to Leh and on our way we will have a quick stop at the Shey Palace and King of Ladakh. Next, we will also go to the world-famous Shanti Stupa, which is dedicated to Buddhism. There, you can observe a white-domed Stupa on the foothill of Changspa. Back then in 1991, the stupa was built by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu. By the end of the day, we will head towards Leh Palace which faces the town of Leh. It is known that the palace was built by Sengee Namgyal in 1600. At last, we will be resting back at the hotel for a night.

Day 5
Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass
The plan for today is to wake up early and visit yet another famous valley, Nubra. We will cover a thrilling distance through twisting roads which will lead us to the Khardungla Pass at a great altitude of 5550 meters. Adding more to your excitement, you can also stop there to get some kickass pictures for your Instagram in that breathtaking view. The valley is located on an ancient road that joins the Shayok and Nubra rivers. On our way, we will be visiting the Deskit Valley which is a tiny capital of Nubra. There, you can witness the huge statue of Lord Buddha because the region of Leh and other Northeast parts are dominated by Buddhism. From there, we will head toward Hunder to view the dunes and enjoy camel rides We will end the day by staying there a bit and then returning to our hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 6
Day excursion to Turtuk village
Turtuk is a Balti village in Indian administration which is known for its low population and remote areas. Also, the region has been opened recently for all travellers. Despite this, the beauty of this place is still intact, so exploring it will be worthwhile. We will start our day 5 by driving towards Turtuk where you can witness mountain ranges and other small villages. Here, locals mostly depend on farming and grow many rare vegetables. It is believed that once locals here went to sleep in Pakistan and shockingly woke up in India. Since then, this region is named as Turtuk and is considered as Baltistan. By exploring this village, our day comes to an end. From here, we will move back to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7
Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok
Post breakfast, we will be travelling to our destination which will be Pangong Lake through Shayok and Spangmik. This route is known as a shortcut towards the beautiful Pangong Lake, Before heading towards Shayok village, you can easily get views of some mountain ranges on the way. Indeed, the view will be pleasant as it offers cinematic views of Leh. By noon, the serene Pangong Lake awaits us! Further, after a hearty dinner, we will be staying back at the hotel.Â

Day 8
Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass
To not miss the breathtaking views of Changla Pass, we will be waking up early on this day. Post breakfast, we will head towards our destination via Leh. On reaching there, this day is kept free for shopping and any other leisure activity. We will end our last night by having dinner which will be followed by a stayover.

Day 9
Depart from Leh
Our Srinagar to Ladakh via Zojila with Turtuk village comes to an end today. No wonder, memories of this pleasant trip will be cherished for life and beyond. After our last morning meal in Leh, you will be heading towards the airport to board your flight.

Ladakh is located in the Western Himalayas of Northern India. It is bordered by Tibet to the east, Himachal Pradesh to the south, Jammu & Kashmir and the Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan to the west. It extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram Range to the north to the main Great Himalayas to the south. The eastern end of it consists of the uninhabited Aksai Chin plains. The elevation of Ladakh ranges from 2550m to 7742m. The longitude and latitude of Ladakh are 34°10′12″N 77°34′48″E.

Leh is a multicuisine city serving Indian, Tibetan, Chinese and even Korean. The cuisine here exhibits tints of these foreign influences. Visitors must try out the local dishes which almost define the cuisine here such as Thukpa, noodle soup;Tsampa, known in Ladakhi as Ngamphe (roasted barley flour), and Skyu which is a heavy pasta dish with plenty of veggies as well as the very popular and delicious Momos which are steamed dumplings stuffed with vegetables or meat.
Drinks include Tea, coffee, beer and Chang which is an alcoholic beverage drunk especially on festive occasions.
Yes, it is absolutely safe to visit Ladakh, however, if you are physically unwell, you should consult your doctor before planning a trip. It is also recommended to give a full one day for acclimatisation when you reach Ladakh.
Domestic tourists as well as international tourists require an inner line permit (ILP) and are required to pay for it in the form of Environment Fee of INR 400. The ILP is valid for 1 week for foreigners as well as Indians.

50% of the Tour cost is to be paid by the guest in advance upon receiving confirmation status of the package. However, if any Air ticket Domestic or International is to be booked and issued by LPI Travels 100% Advance for the air ticket is required to be paid by the guest at the time of booking.

After every payment is received, an automatic payment confirmation mail will be sent.
Prices mentioned per person are on a twin-sharing basis (2 persons sharing one room).
No more than 3 adults are allowed in one room.
The third occupant of the room shall be provided a mattress/rollaway or an extra bed.
Our quotations are not budgeted for any increase in taxes, the introduction of new taxes, an increase in entrance fees to any monuments mentioned in the itinerary, or an increase in domestic airfares. Hence our quotations are subject to change and we would have to ask you to absorb the cost. You will be informed as soon as any Indian Govt. Agency or Airlines introduce the above changes.
All passengers must be covered by suitable International Travel/ Health insurance prior to departure from the country of origin. Our package does not include any Insurance facility.
All arrangements for transportation, accommodation, transfers, and sightseeing will be made by Leisure & Pleasure International Pvt. Ltd. as agent for the passenger upon the express condition that we shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or irregularity which may be caused by any company or person employed in the operation of the tour.
LPI Travels reserves the right to adjust the itinerary and timings in the best interests of the guest. LPI Travels will do its best to adhere to the Timing Schedule provided as far as possible. A visa is required to visit India.

Between 59-40 days before the tour 25% of the tour cost.
Between 39-20 days before the tour 50% of the tour cost.
Less than 20 days & No show 100% retention charges will apply.

50% cost to be remitted at the time of conformation of the booking. Full tour prior to arrival of the clients into India.
If your clients avail of any additional services in India, then payment must be made to our office in India, before they depart India. No credit will be provided.
Our office in India will process all refunds, as these have to be channelled through The Reserve Bank of India. The process is a lengthy one and takes approximately ten to twelve weeks.
