Sri Lanka Luxury Tour
A tour to Sri Lanka brings about the promise of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you will be captivated by the breath-taking beauty of Sri Lanka Tourism, which will keep you coming back for more.
Why visit Sri Lanka?
- Visit the World Heritage Site Sigiriya or Sinhagiri, an ancient rock fortress.
- Yala National Park is a huge area of forest along with pristine lagoons and grasslands, and home to leopards, elephants, and crocodiles.
- Colombo, the capital, is a unique and eclectic mix of Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial heritage, which is brought out in their Victorian and 18th-century architecture.
- Kandy, a city in central Sri Lanka, is famed for its Buddhist monasteries, diverse rainforests, and tea plantations. It is the site of the Temple of the Tooth and the annual grand Esala Perahera procession.
- Galle, a 16th-century city founded by Portuguese colonialists, has stood the test of time and has been furthered by the Dutch and the British. Devastated by a tsunami in the 2000s, it is back to its pristine best and is a must-visit.
Sri Lanka was affectionately called ‘Ratna-Dweepa’ which translates to ‘Gem Island’. While it has been renowned all over the world for the variety and quality of gems and jewels embedded in its soil, Sri Lanka is an extremely beautiful place as well.

Halfway up the rock, within an inaccessible rocky shelter in the vertical wall of the western face these rock paintings can be seen which have brought universal acclaim to the site of Sigiriya - 'The Maidens of the Clouds', 21 non-identified female figures, comparable to the most beautiful creations of Ajanta. Though traces of plaster and pigments occur all over this area, only two pockets of paintings survive. These are in a depression of the rock face, about 100 meters above the ground level. Although taken several times, the city remained one of the bastions of Sinhalese independence until the British troops entered it on 14 February 1815. From Vimala Dharma Suriya I (1591-1604) to Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe (1798-1815), it was the last seat of royal power.
