Gautam Buddha was a born prince in Lumbini as King Gautama Siddhartha. He began his journey toward India in search of answers to a number of questions about life and suffering. Finally, after several years of meditation, he attained ‘nirvana’ (enlightenment). Later, he preached and taught sermons, till leaving for his heavenly abode from Kushinagar.

This Buddhist Circuit Tour comprises the four places that were extremely significant in his life– the place where he was born, attained Enlightenment, preached his first Sermon, and then reached Nirvana. Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Lumbini, and Kushinagar are important places that are related directly to the life and teachings of Lord Buddha. In addition to these, there are various other essential sites where he traveled during his whole lifetime.

The other important places of Buddha’s life include Vaishali, Rajgir, Sravasti, and his early home in Kapilvastu, Nepal.

Itineraries

Day 1

Bodhgaya (Dinner)

Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Later evening. visit Sujata Village Mahabodhi Temple and international temple. After dinner prays to the Bodhi tree. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Bodhgaya - Rajgir /Nalanda |80 KMS | 02 Hrs|

After breakfast at hotel later excursion to Rajgir (80 kms), Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists. Afternoon visit Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar jail & Ajatashatru's Fort. After lunch drive to Nalanda, (12 kms). It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International Centre for Buddist Studies. Nalanda was one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world University established in 5th century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of Jainism religion Lord Mahavir taught at this university for years. There is even a monument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer Hiuen Tsang who studied at this university in the 7th century A.D.

Day 3

Rajgir-Vaishali - Kushinagar |250 KMS |09Hrs|

After breakfast drive to Kushinagar enroute visiting Vaishali where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon announcing his approaching Nirvana. Visit stupas holding urns containing ashes of Buddha and Ashok pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark places sanctified by Buddha. Continue drive to Kushinagar. Arrive & Checkin at hotel. Kushinagar is the place where Buddha entered perfect tranquility the state of Maha Pari Nirvana. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4

Kushinagar-Lumbini 200 KMS |05 Hrs

Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple where Buddha took his last breath and Rambhar Stupa, where he got cremated. Afternoon drive to Lumbini in Nepal. While going there, complete Visa/Immigration formalities at India/Nepal border. Later check in at Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Lumbini - Kapilvastu -Sravasti | 280 KMS |07 Hrs|

Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple where Buddha took his last breath and Rambhar Stupa, where he got cremated. Afternoon drive to Lumbini in Nepal. While going there, complete Visa/Immigration formalities at India/Nepal border. Later check in at Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Sravasti - Varanasi |385 KMS |09 Hrs|

After Breakfast leave sravastii for Varanasi by surface (400kms / 10 hrs). Varanasi is famous for Hindus and Buddhists as its close proximity to Sarnath. Arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Gange aarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedh ghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gange aarti at least one hour before. Varanasi. After then come back Overnight at hotel.

Day 7

Varanasi -Bodhgaya i 275 KMSI (06-08 Hrs)

early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. Come back to hotel for breakfast.After breakfast go to Sarnath (14 kms), Visit Dha- mekha Stupa and Deer park Later Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch leave Varanasi to Bodhgaya on arrival dinner o/n HTL

Day 8

Bodhgaya -Departure after breakfast

Morning free for prayer etc. Then Drive to Bodhgaya Airport for departure.

Cancellation stage: 31 or more days prior to departure, 85% of package cost will be refunded on cancellation 31 days or more before departure.
Cancellation stage: 11 to 20 days before departure, 50% of the package cost will be refunded on cancellation between 11 to 20 days before departure.
Cancellation stage: 10 days or less before departure, 100% of the package cost will be charged as penalty on cancellation 10 days before departure. The same will be applicable in case of NO SHOW by client.

The above-mentioned cancellation charges are applicable only against the main Tour and optional tours published by the Company. If the Client has booked any other services such as air / train tickets or any third party product, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as per cancellation terms of respective airline / railways or the cancellation terms of respective third party. The Company is also liable to recover its service charges against booking and cancelling such services for the Client.
